Smt. Sumita Mukherjee, disciple of The Most.Rev. President Srimat Swami Smaranandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
Smt. Mukherjee, (National Awardee, Master in Kathak Dance From R.B.U.) an exponent of Kathak, a powerful artist from Lucknow Gharana. Smt.Mukherjee, leading disciple of Pt. Om. Prakash Maharaj & disciple of Smt.Bela Arnab, Smt. Sreelekha Mukherjee also completed her training in Bharatnatyam from Guru N. Pandarinathan, Manipuri Dance trainning from Guru Smt. Iva Shingh.
She participated in many major National & International Classical Dance Concerts. Smt. Mukherjee Started teach dance from the age of 18, trained a large number of students of which many are from around the globe.
Besides a poweful artist, Smt Mukherjee had been in the field of education sector as a teacher more than 30 years. Sumita Mukherjee also sucessfully completed the Pre primary & Primary Diploma Course (Sp. Child Psychology) on the montessori method of education conducted at Calcutta Montessori Trainning Centre. She is not only a powerful artist, art lover & wonderful teacher but also she involve herself in various social works more than 25 years.
