Smt. Sumita Mukherjee, a disciple of The Most Rev. President Srimat Swami Smaranandaji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, is a celebrated exponent of Kathak from the Lucknow Gharana.

Achievements and Training
A National Awardee and Master of Kathak Dance from Rabindra Bharati University (R.B.U.), Smt. Mukherjee trained under illustrious mentors, including Pt. Om Prakash Maharaj, Smt. Bela Arnab, and Smt. Sreelekha Mukherjee. Her extensive dance repertoire also includes training in Bharatanatyam under Guru N. Pandarinathan and Manipuri dance under Guru Smt. Iva Shingh.

Performance and Teaching
Smt. Mukherjee has graced numerous prestigious national and international classical dance concerts with her mesmerizing performances. She began teaching dance at the age of 18 and has mentored a vast number of students, including many from across the globe. With over 30 years of experience in the education sector, Smt. Mukherjee has also earned a Pre-primary and Primary Diploma in Montessori Education with a specialization in child psychology from Calcutta Montessori Training Centre.
